First New Homes Reserved From The Drawing Board In Beverley
12 Feb 2020

The first homes at the highly anticipated South Minster Pastures development in Beverley have been snapped up from the drawing board – weeks ahead of the official show home opening.

Work on the first phase of Linden Homes East Yorkshire’s long-awaited 900 home development is well under way, with the first completions due imminently.

The selection of carefully designed two, three and four-bedroom homes at the key East Riding location has captured the imagination of home hunters in the area – with a number of initial 34 properties being reserved from plan.

A show home at South Minster Pastures is planned for spring. For more details about the development and the incentives available contact the sales team on 01482 977434.

This includes Part Exchange†, for those with an existing property to sell. Linden Homes will arrange for at least three independent valuations of the home and will make sellers an offer based on their suggestions.

Once you agree the offer, and subject to satisfactory surveys, Linden Homes becomes your buyer, freeing you up to reserve your new home.

After that, it's a case of setting a moving-in date, boxing up your things, and basking in the relief of a quick chain-free move to the home of your dreams. You can stay in your existing home until your new one is ready.

The 90-acre site – which has a development value of around £180 million is the largest acquisition in Linden Homes East Yorkshire’s (part of Vistry Homes) history.

The land at Beverley South is being developed jointly with Strata Homes, and the project will also deliver a much-needed £5 million Park and Ride scheme for the town which will be developed as part of the Phase 2 works.

The proposed development site was identified as a key growth area within the adopted East Riding Local plan last summer to provide a range of land uses including housing, employment, open space, a park and ride facility and associated infrastructure.

As well as the 900 proposed homes, residents will also benefit from:

  • New park and ride facility to provide up to 500 car parking spaces with connection to Flemingate.
  • Vehicle access will be via a new roundabout from the Beverley Southern Bypass.
  • New pedestrian/cycle paths will link green spaces and connect to the town.
  • Existing structural and tree belts will be retained and enhanced where appropriate.
  • New public open spaces providing recreational and amenity function for residents.
  • Areas designated for potential surface water run-off creating biodiversity opportunities and attractive landscaping.
