With National Gardening Week approaching, developer Linden Homes is offering buyers across its Yorkshire developments up to £3,000 worth of vouchers to spend on their new garden.

The offer is available on selected plots on developments around the region on reservations made before 31 May 2022*.
Sales director Steve Woomble said: “We have long been used to customers’ demands for a large kitchen or energy efficient features of a brand-new home, but the pandemic has certainly re-focussed what is important to some home hunters.
“One of the many benefits of new homes is that the majority come with a garden; often a blank canvas for buyers to put their own stamp on.
“And as we approach summer, we have a fabulous incentive for customers to help them get their outdoor space ready for al fresco dining, enjoying family and social time or preparing for a school holiday staycation.”
The incentive coincides with the timing of the RHS’ National Gardening Week (2-8 May), the nation’s biggest celebration of gardening to help raise awareness of the difference that gardens and gardening can make to our physical and mental wellbeing.
In 2021, RHS research revealed that people who garden every day have wellbeing scores 6.6 per cent higher and stress levels 4.2 per cent lower than people who don't garden at all.
Steve added: “We saw so many people get creative with their gardens during the lockdowns, from growing their own fruit and vegetables to installing a hot tub, landscaping their outdoor space to even building garden pubs!
“This seems to have reignited a love of gardening with people continuing to recognise the benefits of having a great outdoor space of their own.
“Simply sitting in a garden or outdoor space can evoke a feeling of tranquillity or happiness, whether it be tending to plants, enjoying downtime with the family, appreciating nature or relaxing with a book.”
