Over 100 suppliers and sub-contractors were invited to share in Vistry Homes Yorkshire’s recent successes and future plans at an open event in Wakefield.
The company (made up of Linden Homes and Bovis Homes and part of Vistry Group) hosted the session for representatives of its supply chain from across the region, who were given a business overview and update by regional managing director Scott Stothard.
For many, it was the first time since the start of the pandemic that they had been able to meet in person with Vistry staff and other sub-contractors – while enjoying a pre-presentation breakfast.
As well out outlining the current situation within the housing market and the new homes industry, attendees had the opportunity to share in news of successes over the past 12 months and were given an insight into forthcoming land development plans.
Scott said: “It was fantastic to see so many representatives from our valued supply chain in the same room, giving us the opportunity for some ‘real life’ conversations and the platform to demonstrate how we do things at Vistry Homes Yorkshire, and just how important it is for us to have these suppliers and sub-contractors working with us on delivering exceptional housing throughout the region.
“The pandemic has restricted briefing and events of this kind, but we believe that it was hugely worthwhile and thoroughly enjoyed sharing our business news with those who help us ultimately to deliver our valued products.”
