WITH research revealing that only one in three Brits introduces themselves to their neighbours when moving house, Linden Homes is helping new residents buck the trend.
The award-winning house builder has recently launched its Gallery development in Milton Keynes – where some 20 of the current new releases have already been reserved.
And to celebrate the early success of the development at Westcroft, Linden Homes gave its newest customers the chance to get to know each other before they move in.
Purchasers were invited to view the stunning show home and meet their soon-to-be neighbours at an informal evening at the development, where they had the opportunity to chat to each other and Linden Homes’ sales executive Hannah Jones, who will be based at The Gallery.
She said: “It was a fantastic event, very informal and relaxed and gave our customers the chance to break the ice before they move in. The success of the development so far has been overwhelming and we are delighted to be meeting to needs of so many purchasers from in and around the Milton Keynes area.”
The event contradicts national research (commissioned by The Big Lunch, a lottery funded initiative) which suggests a large percentage of people are ‘too busy’ to make themselves known to those who live close by, or feel they will have ‘nothing in common’.
The study also found that one in five only know their neighbours because they take in packages for them whilst they are out.
Hannah added: “It’s important to us that all our residents have the chance to get to know each other, and this event was the perfect opportunity to say ‘Hi’ in a casual way.”
The Gallery marks the highly anticipated arrival of Linden Homes in Milton Keynes, with a development perfectly positioned to suit commuters and those who want that little extra from family life.
