Christmas Comes Early For Children's Ward In Hillingdon Hospital
13 Dec 2012

The managing director of Linden Homes Chiltern, Darren Maddox, paid a visit to the local Hillingdon Hospital this week, to present gifts to young patients on the Peter Pan Ward.

The gifts were collected through the Harefield office’s annual appeal which aims to bring festive cheer and seasonal excitement to children in the local community who are facing tough times.

Staff across the region contributed presents and also encouraged support for the worthy cause from their friends and families, to Linden Homes’ marketing suites.

The sack of gifts was delivered by Darren Maddox on Friday December 7th to the Peter Pan children’s ward, where last year, youngsters were also treated to the same generous delivery.

Linden Homes Chiltern managing director Darren Maddox said: “Not everyone is lucky enough to have a worry-free Christmas so it’s important to us to keep doing what we can to help make this season a little more festive for them, especially the children.

“The response to our Christmas appeal has been excellent once again, and I’d like to thank our staff, for being so generous and community-spirited.”

Pat McGee, Hospital Play Specialist at The Hillingdon Hospital said: “The children were thrilled to receive their presents and we’re very grateful to Linden Homes for providing them. Some children may have to stay in hospital over Christmas so gestures like this make all the difference and help to brighten their day.”
