Speaking about her experience, Julie said: “We were living in Bloxwich in the Midlands and had been in the same house for 26 years! Our parents sadly passed away and we decided it was time for a change.
“We’d been holidaying in Devon since we were little and just love the great outdoors; Ray is a keen runner and we enjoy walking and gardening together. When we visited North Devon it felt like home straight away and we knew we were making the right decision.
“We sold our home, started renting a chalet until we found the perfect house and it wasn’t long before we found Montbray. We love the design; it’s open plan, light and airy and there’s something really nice about moving to a property that no-one else has lived in before. The oven is immaculate, the bath hasn’t been used and the paint work is pristine – we’re enjoying all the spare time we would’ve spent cleaning and redecorating our old house!
“Although we’ve moved away, we’ve got four bedrooms so we have plenty of space for friends and family to visit and we’re excited to show everyone this beautiful corner of the world. You can be at the quay in half an hour, there’s the Tarka Trail cycling path and a great bus route to Ilfracombe and Westward Ho!”
Julie added: “The community aspect is great at Montbray too, we’re all new neighbours and in the same boat – everyone is just lovely. Denise and Stacey, the sales and site team, have also been fantastic and gave us such confidence and support throughout the whole process.
“We just can’t believe we fell in love with the local area and moved in just three weeks! We were pleasantly surprised how quickly and smoothly it went – we couldn’t be happier and it really has been a pipe dream come true for us!”
