Linden Homes has shown support to two key educational establishments in Swanmore as both Greenery Nursery School and Swanmore Primary School look to develop their facilities to provide better environments for their pupils.
Spending time outside is important, especially for children and so, The Greenery Nursery is moving from the Paterson Centre, where they’re currently based, to Swanmore Village Hall in September and are starting plans to transform the open space outside the hall. It is hoped the children can spend their time whilst at nursery enjoying the fresh air in a safe, contained garden.
The Greenery Nursery is currently raising money to make this a reality. Linden Homes has kick-started the transformation by donating a shed for the nursery to store the outdoor play equipment and it is hoped business in the local area follow in suit.
Susan Whiting, Linden Homes marketing manager commented: “It’s important to support the local community, especially the institutions who guide and educate the new generation. It’s the young ones who will make the difference in the future and continue Swanmore’s reputation as an excellent place to live.
“We’re really pleased to support both Swanmore Primary School and Greenery Nursery. We hope we can help to make a difference and encourage others to get involved too.”
Swanmore Primary School is a friendly, village school that strives to provide opportunities for pupils to learn and encourage them to achieve. The school is currently raising funds to renovate two Victoria classrooms on site, which Linden Homes is supporting.
Hannah Wallace from The Greenery Nursery said: “The nursery has been running for 24 years and we are always striving to do the best for the children in our care so when the opportunity came to move to somewhere with a bigger garden, we had to go for it.”
