Linden Homes is extending the stamp duty holiday for homebuyers at Falfield Grange in Falfield, by offering to pay the property tax on selected homes after the Government’s initiative finishes at the end of March.
Since July, the tax threshold has been temporarily increased from £125,000 to £500,000, in a move that has been welcomed by home hunters and the housebuilding industry.
Sales and marketing director, Sue Scholfield commented: “We understand that the stamp duty holiday has helped people to move and that the end of this scheme is fast-approaching, so we’d like to offer some reasurance that we will be covering these stamp duty fees on home purchases until the end of June. This means buyers could take advantage of the opportunity now and save up to £15,000 when they buy a new home.
“The announcement is great news for all homebuyers at Falfield Grange, but especially for second-steppers, many of whom will be able to move into a larger property which meets their needs without the added financial pressure of having to pay thousands of pounds in stamp duty.”
Sue added: “So many people have changed how they live in the last few months and we’ve been receiving a high level of enquiries and reservations as a result. The current situation has highlighted what’s important to us all; lots of people are opting for village life, with outside space becoming a priority for many and a home office being frequently requested. We have some fantastic homes with a study: The Leverton, The Cottingham and The Pembroke are all incredibly popular with homebuyers as they provide a separate area to work quietly.”
