Site Manager Kevin Celebrates Pride In The Job With An Award For Excellence
26 Sep 2016

The site manager at Linden Homes Midlands’ Saxon Gardens development in Huntingdon has plenty to celebrate, honoured for his professionalism and excellence with a national award.

For the third year running, Kevin Bishop from Peterborough was recognised by judges on the National House Building Council’s Pride in the Job Award programme for his leadership, technical expertise, robust health and safety management and all round excellence.

In July, Kevin was awarded a Quality Award, and made it through to the next round of the highly contested competition.

Pride in the Job is one of house building’s most prestigious awards, and for the last 35 years it has been run to strengthen standards in the industry.

Kevin was selected from over 16,000 entrants from around the country for a Quality Award and joined the shortlist for best in the East region and the Seal of Excellence – another honour he received at a recent presentation ceremony in Leicester.

This is Kevin’s second Seal of Excellence award, and he was one of just 22 site managers in the Eastern Region to gain the industry approval.

Kevin, who has overseen the successful sell-out Huntingdon development, said: “Progressing so far in this industry competition means an incredible amount to me, but it’s been a team effort to maintain such high standards. Without everyone’s commitment we couldn’t achieve a really well run and highly successful sell-out development or deliver top quality homes on what has been a really successful development.

“What’s particularly encouraging about this award is that it highlights the determination we have at every step of the way to deliver homes that our customers enjoy living in. It’s really good to have that publicly recognised by the industry.”

Linden Homes Midlands’ production director Rob Spittles said: “Competition for the NHBC awards is fierce and I am delighted for Kevin.

“The Pride in the Job awards are there to spotlight the exceptional site managers and sites within a given region and reflect upon build quality, site presentation, management skills and overall finish. This is a great achievement for Kevin and our two other site managers who received Quality Award in the earlier stages of the competition.”
