Charity champions at Linden Homes West Yorkshire are continuing to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support - by soaking one of their site managers!
Game for a laugh John Firth from the Riverside Mills development in Boroughbridge in North Yorkshire took to the stocks in the name of the good cause, with colleagues making a donation to throw wet sponges at him!
His valiant efforts raised £280 for the company’s chosen charity of 2018, with a series of events already held throughout the year so far topping £15,000 for the charity.
No stranger to fund raising – having taken part in a white collar charity boxing event earlier this year – John said: “It was a bit of a giggle for a very good cause – and I’m normally up for a laugh. To be honest, I think some of the team enjoyed the chance to throw a wet sponge or two in my face, and one or two had a really good aim!”
