Pupils at Eden Park Primary School Academy in Brixham recently visited Linden Homes’ Orestone View development in Goodrington as part of their selling homes project, to develop their persuasive writing and presentation skills.
The 120 children, all aged nine to 11 years old, were shown floor plans and development layouts, viewed a completed show home and were given tips on how to sell and market new homes.
Teacher Suzie Green at Eden Park Primary School Academy said: “There was a real buzz when we left Linden Homes; the children loved looking around the show home and the inspiration they gained has been reflected in their attitudes and work, so it was a very valuable visit.
“We have asked the children to design a concept board to sell their own homes – taking photos and writing about them, which will then be displayed at Boyce Brixham estate agents and Orestone View’s sales and marketing suite.”
Linden Homes’ PR manager, Emma Mackay said: “The children were learning how to sell homes to hone their persuasive writing and presentation skills and we were very impressed with their enthusiasm.
“We love having schools visit us on site, some of the pupils ask some really interesting questions and make some very imaginative suggestions – it’s great to see them so inspired.”
