The sky will light up in Pool, near Redruth this November as Heartlands hosts its first ever bonfire and fireworks night.
On Monday 5 November, the community is invited to join with family, friends and neighbours to enjoy an evening of fireworks, bonfire, live music and entertainment at the 19 acre cultural playground. Thanks to generous support from local homebuilder, Linden Homes, the event will be free admission.
The evening will begin with the bonfire being lit at 6.30pm. Fireworks will then be set off around 7.30pm. Entertainment on the evening will include fairground rides, food stalls and live music from students from Cornwall College’s dBs music in the Red River Café. SKA band, Rudis Message will provide the headline music act for the evening.
Vicky Martin, CEO of the Heartlands Trust said: “It’s been a while since there was there has been a community bonfire night here in Pool, so we’re ready to make it one to remember. Our fireworks at our launch and Flame Festival brought gasps from everyone, and this display will be bigger and better. We look forward to seeing everyone there and we are grateful to our supporters for their contributions to allow this evening to go ahead and be free to the public.”
Linden Homes sales director, Brian Deacon said: “We look forward to delivering a new community of eco-friendly homes along with retail and office space, at the gateway of Heartlands, so we are pleased to support an event that the community can enjoy, at a venue that deserves to be celebrated.”
Heartlands’ Firework and Bonfire Night is on Monday 5 November from 6.30am – 10pm. Admission is free, but car-parking charges apply. Due to limits on car parking capacity, visitors are advised to take public transport or be prepared to park further away from the attraction and walk to the site.
