New homes builder Linden Homes West Yorkshire has made two key appointments to its sales team in the region.
David Taylor and Clare Thacker have each taken on the role of field sales manager, with a collective 17 years’ experience in the new homes sector; with David having a solid retail background and Clare sound financial services experience.
David moved from working for technology giant Apple in the North East to take up a sales post with a regional house builder in 2013; progressing from a sales executive to sales manager position.
He said: “I was keen to move out of the retail industry into another field, and housing was something which I had an interest in and was approached to join. As with retail, the job is about dealing with customers; but in this instance, it is about helping them on their journey to achieve a goal of a dream – that of a new home!
“I am a people person and having been through the process of buying a new home, it is great for me to be on the other side so to speak.”
New dad David currently lives in North Yorkshire with his partner Emma and their eight-month daughter Poppy.
With over a decade of new homes experience to her credit and having held several sales positions with regional developers, Clare joins Linden Homes West Yorkshire with a wealth of experience and a background in finance.
She said: “Before I went into new build sector 11 years ago, I worked as a qualified mortgage advisor to a local independent IFA. I am enjoying my new role with Linden Homes, and with the support of our sales director Gina Holmes and the extra support offered by David, I feel we are making a big difference to the region, working closely with our construction team we have seen our customer recommendation scores go up to over 90% across our 10 developments.
“My career goal was always to progress in within the new build sector and become a sales manager, now I have been given the opportunity my aim is to build a success sales team and report a consistent sales rate within the region.”
David will oversee the company’s developments in Tockwith, Green Hammerton, Kirk Hammerton and Pontefract while Clare will have responsibility for the sites at Thirsk, Killinghall, Newmillerdam, Catterick, Morton on Swale and Harrogate.
