...In The Thames Valley Area.

The new construction director at award-winning housebuilder Linden Homes Thames Valley has set his sights on continuing the region’s progress in leading the way in housebuilding and driving talent in the Thames Valley area.

Promoted from construction manager, Philip Brady (53) brings more than 25 years’ industry experience to his new board level position and he sees the pursuit of quality as his main focus.

“It’s about quality and getting into position as a Home Builders Federation five-star builder,” he said. “I’ve brought in and promoted two new contract managers to help support and motivate the team to continue our progress and reach that goal.

“We face challenges shared by the whole industry at the moment such as shortages of skilled labour and materials. But by improving our processes and keeping focussed on quality we can be recognised as the best and continue to make happy customers – that’s the ultimate achievement.

“To help mark our progress I also want our teams to be picking up National House Building Council Pride in the Job Awards. They recognise best practice and will show we’re doing the right stuff on the ground.”

Philip’s role covers construction site operations, including budgets, programmes and standards. He will report into the managing director of Linden Homes Thames Valley, Peter Carpinelli.

Peter Carpinelli said: “Philip fully deserves this promotion for his experience, dedication and deep knowledge of housebuilding and construction. He shares the company’s goals and will continue to build our growing reputation for quality and service.”

High profile collections Philip will be overseeing include the Honeystones development in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire, and Kings Meadow in East Hanney, Oxfordshire.

There is also construction underway at Victory Fields, in Upper Rissington in the Cotswolds; Ridgeway Manor, in Ogbourne St George, Wilshire; and a soon-to-start development of 226 homes in Bicester.

Philip started his career in the Bristol area as an assistant site manager and has worked his way up from regional to national housebuilders. He joined Linden Homes in 2013 as construction manager.

Philip lives in Wiltshire, in a village called Bradenstoke, and is married with two grown-up sons, one of whom has followed his father into the building industry as a surveyor.
