Haywards Heath, set within the historic county of West Sussex, is the inspiration for photographers being challenged to send in their local snaps for the chance to win a slice of a £1,000 cash prize.
Award-winning housebuilder Linden Homes has launched the contest for people of all ages who reside in Haywards Heath, with a closing date of Sunday 15th April.
The first of the two categories for entry is “Haywards Heath buildings and architecture”. This will focus on local buildings, whether long shots or close-ups of intricate details. The second category is centred around “Haywards Heath life,” encompassing images such as treasured moments, events, landscapes or traditions.
Gold, silver and bronze prizes will be awarded in each category. Gold winners will receive £250, Silver winners £150 and Bronze winners £100. The top pictures will be framed and given pride of place in the Show Home of Linden Homes’ new Fox Hill development, a collection of high quality two, three, four and five-bedroom houses on Fox Hill in Haywards Heath.
Darren Maddox, Managing Director for Linden Homes South East, said: “Haywards Heath is a lovely town and residents are very proud to live here, so we’re expecting a very high standard of photos from the community.
“The stunning countryside and buildings around here will offer plenty of inspiration. Get snapping and send in your photos – we can’t wait to see them.”
The winners of the competition will also be invited to attend a special event in the spring where they will be presented with their prize, have their picture taken and see their photo on display in the Show Home.
Darren added: “This is a terrific opportunity to buy a brand-new home in an accessible and desirable area of Mid Sussex. Haywards Heath is a popular commuter town, it offers good schools and excellent communication links and rail services direct to London, plus easy access to the surrounding road networks.
“Whether you're looking for your first home, to upgrade your current one or perhaps down-size, Fox Hill could be perfect for you.”
