No stranger to throwing herself into a fund raising challenge – Linden Homes East Yorkshire’s Vanessa Allison is about to embark on a new charity mission.
The adventurous mum has taken part in sponsored walks, cycle rides and last year took her fundraising to new height; by taking part in a sky dive with two of her sons; all for a range of good causes close to her heart.
However, the sporty Linden Homes sales executive has now committed to another sponsored stunt – to raise funds for, and awareness of, the mental health charity MIND.
Vanessa, who is based at the Saxon Springs development in Welton, will be joined by her son Brad for the charity paraglide at Netherthorpe Airfield on Sunday June 17.
Vanessa said: “Mental Health is one of the biggest killers in men under 40, although it can effect anyone at anytime, so with our charity effort we hope we can bring this condition out into the open and help someone/anyone!
“We are both looking forward to it. “We are a pretty active and sporty family so this seemed like the perfect challenge to follow on from the sky dive in aid of Diabetes UK last summer.”
