With the arrival of 2014 comes an opportunity to buy a new Linden Home in the lovely Hampshire town of Bishop’s Waltham. This small town is surrounded by the beautiful Hampshire countryside, yet it is conveniently close to Southampton.
Linden Homes’ brand new development, Montague Walk, is located on the northern tip of the town, just where the houses finish and the rolling rural landscape begins.
The town of Bishop’s Waltham was named after the Bishop’s Waltham Palace – the ruins of which remain as a tourist attraction in the town – and the original palace was destroyed on the orders of Oliver Cromwell during the English Civil War.
This historical settlement has managed over the centuries to retain much of its old world charm, yet it now boasts great facilities, shops, bars and award winning restaurants. There is also a local bakery, butcher’s shop and fishmonger’s.
The town’s schools, Bishop’s Waltham Junior School and Bishop’s Waltham infant school, have both been rated as outstanding by OFSTED.
Once it is complete, Linden Homes’ Montague Walk will offer a collection of just twelve new properties including two and three bedroom terrace and semi-detached homes and four and five bedroom detached homes.
