The Mayor of Ely, Cllr Rouse, was the official guest of honour for the official opening ceremony of Laithwaite Gardens, in Sutton. The mayor symbolically cut the ribbon to declare the opening of the development’s brand-new marketing suite and show home.
Cllr Rouse was joined by proud Linden Homes Midlands employees to celebrate the developer’s housing offering in Cambridgeshire. The brand-new development will see 77 new homes, 54 of which are private and 23 are classified as affordable housing for the local community.
Laithwaite Gardens, in the nearby village of Sutton will offer a stunning selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties in a range of traditional two and contemporary three-storey designs.
Linden Homes Midlands Financial Director, Fraser Hopes, says: “This is a proud moment for Linden and it’s great to celebrate this milestone with the Mayor. We’re very excited to see the site grow and welcome future occupants.
“As part of the agreed planning permission Linden Homes will also be making significant financial contributions under the Community Infrastructure Levy, which will go towards improvements in transport, education and health services in and around the local community.”
The development will offer wide appeal to everyone from first-time buyers and young professionals to families and downsizers.
