Local Housebuilder Invites Portsmouth To Spread Some Festive Cheer This Christmas
11 Dec 2017

Leading housebuilder Linden Homes, behind developments including Bartons Rise in Havant, is inviting local schools, businesses and residents to get involved in its work to support local children spending time at the Queen Alexandra Hospital’s Paediatric Unit this Christmas.

The housebuilder has pledged its support to Queen Alexandra Hospital this festive season, to help those in need who may be facing a difficult Christmas this year. Some children and young people may spend as little as a few hours in the Paediatric Unit at Queen Alexandra Hospital, while others may spend days or many weeks on the wards, depending on their condition or needs.

Linden Homes is encouraging its own employees, local residents, schools and businesses to donate some small gifts or essential items, which the housebuilder will deliver to Queen Alexandra Hospital in the hope of brightening up the Christmases of those children and young people currently admitted there.

For those looking to donate, the gifts and essential items should be dropped off with Linden Homes staff at Bartons Rise in Havant by Wednesday 20th December, ahead of the housebuilder’s team hand-delivering the gifts to Queen Alexandra Hospital in time for Christmas.

Jo Dixon, marketing manager for Linden Homes South, commented: "As many of us are finishing (or starting!) our Christmas shopping and getting set for a Christmas in the comfort of our own homes, there are children facing a difficult Christmas this year in hospital. Here at Linden Homes, we are proud to be providing homes and communities within which families can enjoy the festive period – however, we are also committed to doing our bit to help those who are not afforded that luxury.

"We would like to invite local schools, residents and businesses in Portsmouth to work with us on this project and help us, to help those in need this year. The Portsmouth community is one with real spirit and we are pleased to be tapping in to this to support such a worthy cause."
