Linden Homes has welcomed the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement announcement to cut stamp duty rates for the majority of housebuyers.
Clive Wiltshire, Managing Director of Linden Homes Western, which has the Greyfriars Quarter development in Gloucester, said: “We are encouraged to see yet another proactive measure from the government to maintain momentum in the housing market. Along with Help to Buy i, reducing the additional financial consideration imposed by stamp duty makes it even more affordable for people to get on, or move up, the property ladder.
“We believe this announcement will bring another welcome boost to general confidence, and get the housing market moving consistently in the right direction.”
