Linden Homes Site Manager Gets The Nhbc Seal Of Approval
18 Dec 2019

A site manager at a Linden Homes South development has won an NHBC Seal of Excellence Award for 2019. Matthew Coe (29), site manager at Linden Homes’ Beaumont Park, Ringwood was recognised by the NHBC’s Annual Pride in the Job Award which meant he went on to compete for, and won, a Seal of Excellence.

The competition started at the beginning of the year with around 16,000 site managers competing for The Quality Award. Of this amount, 450 were handpicked for a Pride in the Job Award, which recognises site managers from across the country who are demonstrating excellence in housebuilding and who put quality at the centre of their work.

The Seal of Excellence Award for Matthew Coe, one of only 140, was announced at the South West regional lunch. The ceremony, held at The Passenger Shed in Bristol was one of ten Pride in the Job Regional Award ceremonies held across the UK attended by all 450 Quality Award winners to celebrate their exceptional achievement and witness the announcement of the Seal of Excellence and Regional Award winners.

Matthew is delighted to have achieved the accolade: “It is a great honour to win an award like this which is recognised and awarded by our industry peers. I was extremely proud to have won the Pride in the Job award for the second year, so to go on to gain a Seal of Excellence is amazing but it is all credit to the fantastic team at Beaumont Park. We’ve all worked together for two years, since I joined Linden Homes in 2017, to create a site that delivers build quality and exceptional service to our customers.”

Steve Ott, Production Director for Linden Homes South, commented: “The Quality Awards are highly regarded within the housebuilding industry and the judging rigorous, so we are very proud that not only were two of our site managers awarded Pride in the Job awards but Matthew has now gone on to be awarded a Seal of Excellence. The role of Site Manager is a lynch pin role and as the title suggests it is an award that recognises excellence which is a testament to Matthew’s commitment and hard work which delivers the high standard that Linden Homes strives to achieve.”

The NHBC’s annual Quality Awards celebrates the exceptional contribution site managers make in creating homes of outstanding quality. Now in its 40th year, the competition is the most highly regarded in the house-building industry. For the Pride in the Job Award, each site manager is assessed across these six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety.
