Visitors to Royal Chase – the brand new development in Woolton Hill from Housebuilder of the Year, Linden Homes – will be in store for a real festive treat this month. On Saturday, 15 December, TV judge, Mich Turner MBE will be spending the day at the stunning new development near Newbury.
Set in the beautiful new showhome at Royal Chase, Mich will be holding a live demonstration between 11am and 2pm that day, to help visitors prepare for Christmas, giving tips on mixing and baking a fruit cake, how to decorate larger Christmas cakes and also smaller festive cookies and cakes too.
The professional judge of ‘Britain’s Best Bakery’ fame which is currently airing on ITV, and owner of Little Venice Cake Company, will be on hand to answer any questions visitors have in the lead up to Christmas to help them get prepared and into the festive spirit. Mich will also have signed copies of her bestselling books available on the day for people to purchase, so they can try their own hand at baking and what they have learnt, at home.
Mich commented: “I am looking forward to bringing the brand new kitchens to life at Royal Chase, with some creative festive baking ideas!”
The Royal Chase development being given the seasonal touch is an exclusive collection of 10 two, four and five bedroom homes. The show home, where Mich will be demonstrating her baking and decorating tips, gives visitors a feel for the spacious, quality finish Linden Homes has throughout the homes available.
Set among winding country roads and beautiful open countryside, Royal Chase is nestled close to the Gainsborough stud farm. New homeowners here will benefit from local amenities including a post office, a general store/off-licence, and a pub which offers fine food and ales. Newbury is just four miles away and its famous racecourse offering an alternative to the tranquillity that Royal Chase provides.
The area has good schools, top-rated health services, and football and tennis clubs. It is dotted with stately homes and attractive country houses, including Highclere Castle. The Wayfarers Walk winds by, as does the Kennet and Avon Canal just a few miles away.
It’s easy to find Royal Chase, irrelevant of the direction visitors are travelling from, as the site has excellent road and rail links, with quick access from the A34 which brings drivers M3 southbound and the M4 northbound, while the train station at nearby Newbury brings passengers from Winchester, Reading, Bristol or London within the hour.
Linden Homes sales and marketing manager Sharon Eldred said: “We are thrilled to have Mich joining us for the day at Royal Chase.
