Leading Housebuilder Opens Its Doors To The Future Of The Property Industry
26 Mar 2018

Linden Homes has celebrated this year’s national initiative ‘Open Doors Week’, by inviting hundreds of pupils across the country to visit live construction sites and see for themselves, what working in the sector entails.

One of the UK's leading housebuilders, Linden Homes, opened the doors on many of its sites up and down the country, inviting local schools, colleges and aspiring property professionals to visit to find out more about the work that takes place behind the scenes to deliver the housebuilder’s award-winning homes.

Engaging with local schools and colleges, Linden Homes saw over five different schools through its doors to experience site tours, introductions and advice from different members of the Linden Homes teams, at the housebuilder’s live developments all over the country from Sherford to Swindon. Experts from different arms of the Linden Homes business were on hand to demonstrate the wide range of careers available in the sector, show the students around and answer any questions or queries they had.

Tom Nicholson, Divisional Chairman at Linden Homes, commented: “Open Doors Week is a fantastic initiative which serves as a great opportunity for young people to find out more about the opportunities open to them, and may inspire those who haven’t considered a career in housebuilding before.

“We are dedicated to encouraging further talent into the sector and ensuring that young people are supported throughout their careers, to truly excel as they progress on to the career ladder. We were pleased to be a part of the Open Doors Week initiative again this year and the ongoing efforts to encourage more and more young people into the property industry.”

Linden Homes is committed to encouraging more young talent into the sector, and ensuring they have the opportunity to find their feet and discover their talents as part of the Linden Homes team. The housebuilder’s Management Trainee scheme allows school leavers to earn and learn simultaneously, gaining practical experience in their chosen department whilst working towards a relevant qualification. Open Doors Week gave aspiring young talent the perfect platform to find out more about the scheme and the opportunities available to them.
