Linden Homes Western has increased its land bank and acquired two new development sites, with work due to start later this year.
The region will be creating an exciting new development of 300 homes in Westbury called Spinnaker, which will involve the relocation of West Wilts Youth Sailing Association to larger facilities to the north of Westbury Sailing Lake.
Situated off Station Approach, Spinnaker will provide three and four bedroom high quality homes, within easy reach of the Westbury mainline railway station.
The first phase of construction, due to begin imminently, will be the enabling works for the new sailing club and car park, including all the ground works and the slab for the club house, with work on the first homes programmed to start in November.
Linden Homes has also exercised an Option to create 150 homes on agricultural land just off Pamington Lane in Ashchurch. The development will provide much-needed accommodation for the local community and 40 per cent will be classed as affordable housing.
Comprising one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes, Barleyfields will be located in a beautiful area with excellent travel links. Work will start on the new homes in June, with roadworks starting in March.
Speaking about the new acquisitions, Ian Green, land director for Linden Homes Western, said: “We are delighted to have bought these two new sites and we’re excited to get things moving. The land team has grown in the last year and sales have been strong, so we’re expanding quickly to keep up with the demand.”
Ian added: “Our region is always on the look out for land opportunities in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Wiltshire and Somerset, following a successful few months identifying and securing land for development.”
