Launched last year, Linden Homes’ Howden Green residential development at Howden-Le-Wear featuring 22 homes is proving a really popular choice with over half already sold.
The Avery family from Cambridge was one of the first families to move in. Paul, Laura and baby Beth Avery bought their detached four-bedroom executive home off plan.
Laura said: “It’s a fantastic home and we are so excited to be finally settled in. We had not really been looking for a new home, but when we saw the quality of the show homes at Howden Green and the quality of the fixtures and fittings, we were convinced we should sign up immediately.”
For husband Paul, the move north marked a welcome return back to the area. He added: “It can be a bit of a gamble buying off plan, but in this case it has really worked out well. When we walked around the show homes, even though they are a different design to the home we actually bought, we knew we would not be disappointed.”
For the Crook family, the move to Howden-Le-Wear was an easier matter. They moved to Howden Green from just outside Bishop Auckland and had not even put their home on the market when they fell in love with the development, mainly because of its rural setting. As second time buyers, they were able to take advantage of Linden Homes’ part-exchange scheme too which made things really straightforward.
Leanne says: “Linden Homes made us an offer for our home and bought it from us straight away so we were able to move house with the minimum of hassle. We love our new home, The Langley, because it is so spacious and will really give us room to grow as a family, which is just as well because we have since discovered that baby number two is on its way. That was a real surprise, but things could not be better!”
