Housebuilder Rallies To Support Council’s New Outdoor Sports Facilities Project

Caldecote Parish Council has received a £1,150 donation from housebuilder Linden Homes to fund two new outdoor table tennis tables in Highfields Caldecote.

The Parish Council has been working on plans to update and renovate several of its popular community facilities and has welcomed the funds to assist with the installation of the tables from the housebuilder currently building new homes in the village.

The council have been working hard to improve facilities for the Caldecote community to enjoy, including improvements to the village peace garden, and the renovation and extension of the Sports Pavilion. The outdoor table tennis tables are part of the wider Sports Pavilion project and have been installed near the Pavilion for the younger members of the community to enjoy.

Councillor Polly Anne Field of Caldecote Parish Council, said: “We are extremely grateful to Linden Homes for providing such a generous donation. We have been working hard to fundraise throughout the pandemic in order to continue with our planned improvements to our community sports and leisure facilities.

“The Pavilion has been at the heart of our community for many years and is finally receiving the love and care that it deserves. We can’t wait to see the people of Caldecote enjoy table tennis games outdoors in the sun.”

Linden Homes is currently delivering new homes at its All Angels Park development off Highfields Road in Highfields Caldecote.

Jason Colmer, sales and marketing director of Linden Homes Eastern, said: “We are always looking at ways we can provide support to the local communities where we are creating new homes, so when the team at Caldecote Parish Council highlighted their plans for additional outdoor sports and play equipment we were keen to be involved.

“The two new table tennis tables installed at the village’s sports pavilion look fantastic and we’re really looking forward to seeing them in use. We’re equally proud to see the Linden Homes name on the plaques attached to each new table to commemorate the installation date as a lasting legacy of our work and support towards the community in Caldecote.

Linden Homes is currently selling a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes at All Angels Park.
