From bricks and mortar to baking and coffee mugs – fundraisers at Linden Homes East Yorkshire have been helping to boost cancer charity coffers.
At the company’s head office in Hessle there was a welcome Monday morning pick me up with tea, coffee, cakes and bakes; as part of the Macmillan Cancer Support’s series of events being held around the country.
As well as the many tasty treats, the star bake of the day was a wonderful cake in the shape of and decorated as a coffee mug – complete with the Macmillan logo – created by LHEY production secretary/ office manager, and keen baker, Clare Grey.
Meanwhile, customers and visitors to the Swanland Gardens development in Swanland were also greeted with a table full of tantalizing refreshments, as sales executive Vanessa Allison hosted a coffee morning in the sales and marketing suite.
Linden Homes East Yorkshire sales manager Julie Hubbard said: “Our huge thanks to everyone who helped to raise around £150 from these two events. Each person who bought and enjoyed a slice of cake, and all those generous staff who made or donated refreshments – we would like to thank you for your support for a charity which is held dear by so many people.”
