As the school term draws to a close – there’s more than sports day, leavers’ assembly and a break from homework to celebrate at a school in Market Weighton.
The Friends of Mount Pleasant Junior School have been raising funds to buy outdoor play equipment for the school, and successfully reached their target earlier in the year – having purchased a trim trail which has been installed and being enjoyed by the children.
Linden Homes East Yorkshire (formerly Linden Homes North) have donated £500 towards helping to boost funds for new school books, and recently presented a cheque to the school to round off the end of term.
A spokesperson for The Friends of Mount Pleasant Junior School said: “This £500 kindly donated by Linden Homes will be used to renew our well-worn books so we can enjoy a new selection.”
Julie Hubbard, sales manager, said: “As the school is neighbouring to our family-friendly Bradley Meadow in Market Weighton we were delighted to make a contribution towards the fundraising appeal, particularly as some of our customers’ children will benefit.”
Ideal for first time buyers, professional couples and families, Bradley Meadow currently has a number of two, three and four-bedroom homes available.
Perfectly positioned between the bustling centres of Beverley and York in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, the development enjoys the elements of town and country.
