With the World Cup well under way, celebrations have also reached fever pitch for young players in Doncaster.
Having maintained a great performance throughout the season, on the ball players from Hickleton Harriers JFC have tasted glory – being crowned Doncaster Junior Sunday League Champions.
The team was presented with the coveted trophy during a recent ceremony at the Doncaster Rovers Keepmoat Stadium.
And sharing a small part in the success of the Under 11s is Linden Homes East Yorkshire, who sponsored the team’s 2018/19 season kit.
Club chairman Jonathan Dixon said: “Our Under 11s have had a fantastic season, topped off by this wonderful trophy which all the players and coaches have worked so hard for. Our thanks to Linden Homes for their support.”
