Shinfield – a picturesque country village on the outskirts of Reading

The picturesque village of Shinfield is situated just 5 miles South of Reading and offers the best of both worlds. You’ll find both the beautiful Berkshire countryside on your doorstep, and good selection of essential amenities. This quintessential village has its own Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ nursery, infant and junior schools, churches, a post office, a small supermarket and a Michelin star restaurant, L’Ortolan. For entertainment close to home, the Shinfield Players Theatre just 3 miles away puts on a range of plays and dramas all year round.
