Work has begun on a development of 111 new homes in Cannock.
Chenet Chase is being built on land off Lakeside Boulevard and will include a range of two to four-bedroom homes, as well as public open space and a trim trail.
Linden Homes has named its development Chenet Chase after the old name for Cannock, with the inclusion of Chase in recognition of its proximity to Cannock Chase.
Linda Huntington, Head of Sales for Linden Homes West Midlands, said: “This piece of land off Lakeside Boulevard has been disused for some time and we are proud to be turning it into a new neighbourhood.
“There is a continuing need for new housing, both nationally and locally, and developments like Chenet Chase go some way towards addressing this shortage of homes, enabling buyers to move onto or up the property ladder.
“Work is now underway on site and our marketing suite is now open, with nine homes already reserved.
“We are looking forward to seeing the development start to take shape in the months ahead, and we expect to welcome our first residents to Chenet Chase in late spring.”
