Vistry Group won the biggest accolade in front of hundreds of housebuilding champions at a national awards celebrating excellence in the industry.
Vistry received Large Housebuilder of the Year at the Housebuilder Awards in London, run in partnership with the National House Building Council (NHBC) and Home Builders Federation (HBF).
The housebuilder – which was formed at the start of 2020 with the merger of Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Vistry Partnerships – enjoyed further success on the night with Sue Scholfield, sales and marketing director at Vistry Western, picking up The Housebuilder Star Award.

The Housebuilder Awards returned live to the InterContinental London-The O2 with more than 500 people enjoying the black-tie event hosted by comedian Tom Allen.
Vistry was praised for showing “real intent across the board”, with five finalist entries. Judges were also impressed by Sue’s “calm manner and motivated leadership” as acting managing director of Vistry Western.
Sue said: “I feel incredibly privileged to accept The Housebuilder Star Award. To receive recognition for doing your job is very humbling and I’m delighted to be honoured. I would love to thank everyone in Vistry Western for their continued support, hard work and loyalty. It’s this teamwork that makes the difference – everyone doing their job to the best of their ability, while ensuring we catch up to reflect on what went well and what could be changed for the better. I feel very proud of where Vistry is as a company, it’s an exciting business and a fantastic industry to be in.”
Now in their 17th year, the Housebuilder Awards celebrate excellence in all aspects of the sector, including in customer satisfaction, marketing, design, training, regeneration and sustainability.
