Victorian Elegance, Ingenious Design And Breathtaking Style

In 1895 the doors of the new St Michael’s Convent building in Waterlooville were opened for the first time. Designed by Leonard Stokes, the convent was home to the Order of Our Lady of Charity for over a century.

Now the doors have opened again: In 2015 this elegant, late Victorian building begins its new life and Linden Homes’ refurbishment of this old convent is now available to view.

The beautiful show home, in what is now Claydon House, reveals an apartment that strikingly blends old and new.

The finish is 2015 (with fully fitted bathrooms and a kitchen complete with integrated and guaranteed appliances). The windows and ceilings, however, are pure 1895. The stained glass and lofty rooms give each of the 17 Claydon House apartments a real sense of style, history and character.
