Support Every Step Of The Way For London Marathon Runners

Linden Homes supported a pair of our business partners every step of the way when they overcame the gruelling challenge of the London Marathon to raise about £5,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Chris Wotton and Lisa Alexander, directors from PR agency Remarkable Group, were sponsored by our South West region. They completed the race in just over five hours and weren’t put off their stride even after being overtaken by a man in a donkey outfit and then a herd of rhinos!

Chris said: “We’re very grateful to Linden Homes South West for its support. The day was a humbling experience with an amazing atmosphere created by over a million spectators. We were overtaken by a donkey but did at least manage to get past a 7ft Peppa Pig!”

Linden Homes South West sales and marketing director Brian Deacon said: “Well done to Chris and Lisa for finishing the race and raising so much money. We were delighted to contribute to such a worthy cause.”

Linden Homes divisional managing director Tom Nicholson added his congratulations and said: “We’re eager to lend our support to charity fundraisers all around the country. It’s another part of the Foundation’s pledge to contribute where we can to community efforts.”
