Sales Executive Gavin Prepares To Take Fundraising To New Heights
02 Oct 2017

Despite being afraid of flying – Linden Homes West Yorkshire sales executive Gavin Hughes is heading for new heights to raise funds in support of a family friend.

Gavin, who is based at the Brompton Fold development at Apperley Bridge will be jumping 10,000 feet out of a plane to boost charity coffers for the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.

He will be joining 26 friends and family members of Leeds toddler Ada (2) – the daughter of a friend who was born with a rage condition called biliary atresia, and inevitably leads to a liver transplant.

The sky dive takes place on 22 October, with Gavin hoping to raise £1,000 to support the cause.

Gavin (pictured), who has received support from his own son Liam, is approaching the challenge with slight caution!

He said: “I’m doing this sky dive for the best cause and my greatest inspiration, my friend’s little girl Ada, who was born with a rare condition Biliary Atresia. Whilst spending time in hospital with her and seeing the many children of all ages with this condition I have never been as humbled to see how strong and full of character these special little children are.

“So for this I was asked to join 26 other family members and friends and do a sponsored sky dive – despite me being terrified of flying!”
