...Setting In The Surrey Village Of Cranleigh
Luxury family homes don’t get much better than those being built at Swallowhurst, a flagship development by Linden Homes on Bookhurst Road, Cranleigh. Building is now well underway and purchasers who would like advance notice of preview events prior to its launch in September are invited to register their interest now.
It is the setting of 33 acres of stunning historic woodland that defines the new development of Arts and Crafts style homes; yet its location close to some renowned schools and coupled with all the practical amenities in Cranleigh itself, means it truly is the best of both worlds - tranquility and convenience.
This prestigious development is being undertaken by Linden Homes in partnership with Wates Developments and comprises a collection of three, four and five-bedroom individually designed prime, family homes that reflect the vernacular architecture of the immediate area.
Natalie Flint, sales director at Linden Homes, comments: “Luxury comes in all forms; some is clearly evident and makes a statement but it can equally be understated and exude elegance. We believe these luxury family homes will set a new benchmark; they combine all the classically features that define great style but its high specification means there’s no compromise on the quality of the fixtures and fittings. It is the perfect combination for rural living.”
The houses range in size from 2,050 sq ft to 4,730 sq ft and are perfectly suited for the busy, executive family with flexible, contemporary layouts. Externally, they use locally sourced red and orange brickwork, clay or slate coloured roof and hanging tiles and contrasting black painted timber framing surrounding traditional white framed windows.
Traditional features include hipped roofs, bay windows, porches and dormer windows, while distinctive oversized chimneys will be used, in keeping with the quirky characteristics of many surrounding homes.
Swallowhurst is around a mile and half to Cranleigh’s bustling village centre, which combines a mix of high street names such as Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury’s with an excellent local butcher and fishmonger as well as boutique shops, bars and restaurants. Highly regarded schools include Cranleigh School and Longacre.
