Plenty To Shout About At New Show Home Opening And Re-launch In Pocklington
07 Nov 2018

The champagne corks will be popping in Pocklington later this month, as Linden Homes East Yorkshire’s development takes on a new identity and unveils a new show home.

Town crier Geoff Sheasby will make sure there is plenty to shout about at the re-launch of The Balk on November 17 – when it will become known as Millers Retreat.

The new name represents the town’s history and association with the milling community and industry.

According to records on the town which date back to the 18th century, Pocklington had five working mills; used in among other things, the processing of woollen cloth and corn.

And while history plays an important part, Linden Homes are bringing things right up to date when the stunning four-bedroom family-friendly Kempthorne show home opens its doors to visitors on Saturday 17 November.

The range of three, four and five-bedroom homes at Millers Retreat boast contemporary layouts and modern open plan designs.

And for those with an existing property to sell, there is also a chance to move into your dream home for Christmas, through the part exchange scheme.

Linden Homes will arrange for at least three independent valuations of your existing home and will make you an offer based on their suggestions.

Once you agree the offer, and subject to satisfactory surveys, Linden Homes becomes your buyer, freeing you up to reserve your new home. After that, it's a case of setting a moving-in date, boxing up your things, and basking in the relief of a quick chain-free move to the home of your dreams. You can stay in your existing home until your new one is ready.

A popular self-contained market town, Pocklington offers the best of both worlds – for those who enjoy a gentler pace of life while being within easy commutable distance of York and Hull.

The sales and marketing suite is currently open daily from 10.30am until 5pm. Alternatively, contact the sales team on 01759 401520.

Millers Retreat has plenty to offer home hunters when it comes to design choice and style, and visitors to the show home opening have the chance to win cash prizes when Linden Homes teamed up with Minster FM – who will be broadcasting live from the development on November 17 between 11am and 1pm – for the Room to Remember competition.

Anyone wishing to take part is invited to register on the Minster FM website prior to the launch, to be eligible to enter one of the room in the show home.

Eight lucky visitors will be selected to take part in the competition on the day and each will have 30 seconds in the room before being asked to leave and recall seven items in return for a cash prize (Ts & Cs apply). Further competitions will run throughout November http://www.minsterfm.com/
