Now Is The Time To Invest In Battersea
11 Nov 2016

It was finally revealed this September that iPhone and iPad maker, Apple will move 1,400 staff from eight sites around the capital to create a new London headquarters at the Grade II listed former electricity generator, Battersea Power Station.

Examining the impact that this could have on the local Wandsworth property market, leading online estate agent,, predicts that once Apple arrives, the market should see a notable jump in values and the area could see property increase by as much as 40% between 2021 and 2025 – surpassing that of the capital as a whole .

For investors looking to take advantage of current property prices and home hunters who wish to make a move to Battersea then now is the time.

Housebuilder, Linden Homes’ The Metropolitan development offers a collection of one, two and three bedroom high quality apartments and duplexes, built within a former police station. The traditional Edwardian exterior at the front of the converted building is linked by a modern glass-walled atrium to a selection of newly built contemporary apartments to the rear.

Claire Gibbins, Linden Homes’ Sales and Marketing Director said: “There really isn’t a better time to invest in Battersea as although Apple’s headquarters aren’t due to open until 2021, buying now will ensure you get the best pick of properties ahead of the expected steep inflation to property prices. What’s more Apple has taken enough space in Battersea Power Station for 3,000 employees so the ripple effect on the market is set to continue further as the operation is set to grow in London.

“This new development still has a few apartments remaining for sale, all which are fully complete and ready to move in to so I’d encourage you to grab your chance now to secure a property as your future nest egg.”

Each of the apartments at The Metropolitan are finished to a high specification and finish throughout. The entrance hall leads guests into a light, spacious and chic home boasting open plan living. The master bedrooms boast an ensuite and there is an additional bathroom. The stylish, modern and contemporary apartments are effortlessly sleek in the décor and all properties benefit from a private balcony or terrace.

Located on Battersea Bridge Road, in between Battersea and Chelsea, The Metropolitan is just a short walk from a number of popular tube stations including, Clapham Junction, Battersea Park and South Kensington.

The development is on the A3220, one of the main roads which runs through London with connections to junctions A3 and A4. The Metropolitan is also on the CS8 Cycle Superhighway route from Wandsworth to Westminster.
