Four years after joining developer Linden Homes as a senior sales executive, property-loving people person Frances Skinner has been promoted to sales manager for the Scarborough region.
Along with a newly appointed four-strong sales team, Frances will be overseeing the company’s North Yorkshire developments; Tara Fields, Cayton Reach and Northfield Meadows.
With 20 years’ industry experience, Frances’ passion for property started after taking on her renovation project whilst working fulltime in vehicle sales.
She said: “I become fascinated (and still am) with anything to do with property ?" from construction, the legal process, right through to that magic moment when you get your keys ?" and I wanted to share that passion and combine it with my love of sales.”
Frances (pictured) started her own journey with Linden Homes (part of Vistry Group) as a senior sales executive based at The Beeches development in West Ayton. Having relocated to Scarborough 12 years ago, she considers herself as one of the locals!
“I love the fact that until the pandemic, this was mostly a people facing role. Covid has certainly presented its own set of challenges, but the market has remained buoyant, and our customers still want to move.
“As a company, we have looked at and embraced new ways of working with customers, building that very important rapport and maintaining the desire to help them realise their dreams.”
She added: “Being local to the area and understanding what people are looking for in a development, in a home and from the location really does help.
“My sales team are all from Scarborough, and collectively we can relate to customer aspirations of moving to the coast for a work/life balance, being close to great schools, enjoying a great lifestyle ?" and even easy access to surfing lessons on the doorstep. It really is the best life!”
