New Broughton homes now available to buy off-plan
Solent interior design student wins chance to help design show home
The wait is over for Hampshire property-watchers as a charming collection of new build homes from award-winning housebuilder, Linden Homes, launched in Broughton, a quaint, picturesque village and a sub district of Stockbridge, just 10 miles north of Romsey, in the Test Valley.
House hunters seeking idyllic country living need look no further than, Morgan’s Field, a collection of three, four and five bedroom homes.
Located in Broughton, a village known for its rural charm and exceptional community spirit, potential new home owners will be amazed by the natural beauty of their new surroundings of open fields, streams and parkland.
Linden Homes are in the process of building the show home on the development, which is expected to be ready spring next year (2017) and aims to provide inspiration for potential new home owners.
Famous for their exceptional interiors, the Morgan’s Field show home is set to live up to expectations. Linden Homes prides itself on supporting new talent, and has partnered with Southampton Solent University for the past few years to support their interior design course. Last year (2016) the third year student’s final year projects were judged by Linden Homes and Abigail Burden, was awarded first prize for her exceptional and exotic print designs.
Following this, Linden Homes invited Abigail, 22, to support the interior design team for Morgan’s Field and her wallpaper design has been chosen as the primary focus of the first floor bedroom in The Roseborne house type.
Abigail, who focuses on hand painted textiles, said: “It feels amazing to know one of my designs will be used in a Linden Homes show home! I was there when my wallpaper was printed and it was so exciting. It’s great to see one of my designs comes to life.
“The concept behind the design came from my final major project when I was completing my BA at Solent University. The wallpaper focuses on tropical prints but the colour is a gorgeous stone grey. The aim was to have a visually interesting print that is also easy on the eye and creates a calm atmosphere.”
Jo Dixon, marketing manager at Linden Homes South said: “Morgan’s Field is well located within the village and Broughton itself has great public transport links to nearby cities such as Southampton and Winchester. The homes have now launched off-plan and we’ve already seen a huge amount of interest from locals in Broughton and the nearby villages.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Abi, who is currently working alongside our interior designers from Show Business Interiors. We first met Abi in June and we are so delighted that she has been able to showcase her wallpaper in our new show home. It’s important to support local talent and we can’t wait to see Abi’s career flourish. She really is an exceptional designer and her prints will look stunning once ready.”
Broughton is a sought-after village which offers a lively community scene, a large shop, two pubs, a church and a village hall as well as football and cricket grounds.
Linden Homes pride themselves on building exceptional homes that blend seamlessly into their surroundings. Every Linden Home benefits from the 10-year National House Building Council (NHBC) protection and the new materials used in construction result in homes being more energy efficient, lower utility bills and reduced maintenance bills.
