Muddy mission accomplished. Well done to Linden Homes East Yorkshire site manager Paul Douglass on completing his latest charity challenge.
It was a case of same place, different good cause, as Paul recently tackled another gruelling 10km tough mudder-style obstacle course.
This time, Paul – site manager at the Lindendale development in Easingwold - was joined by his partner Debbie Craine, who braved her first ever tough mudder-style challenge to raise funds for a cause close to her heart.
The couple completed the muddy mission in Leeds, part of The Major’s Events series, and have raised almost £500 for IDAS – a self-sufficient charity serving the Yorkshire area, which devotes its time to helping victims of domestic and sexual abuse.
Paul said: “Debbie was subject to domestic violence herself and the charity helped her and her family through very difficult times. While she has never taken part in anything like this before, she was determined to complete the course and raise as much money as possible for this wonderful charity.
“Our huge thanks to everyone who has supported us, and well done to Debbie for tackling the extreme course so brilliantly.”
The course involved participants crawling through muddy tunnels, having their senses bombarded with smoke, explosions, unexpected smells and sounds, tackling stench trenches and much more.

Earlier this year, Paul and his brother Neil took part in a similar event, raising around £3,600 for Hull Royal Infirmary’s ICU and neurosurgery wards.
