The brand new Linden Homes development – 1779, in Lightmoor Telford, is pleased to have welcomed its first residents, this month.
Long-term partners Verona Jester and Claire Price had lived in rented accommodation for 10 years but when they discovered they had to move out due to landlords selling up, they decided to turn their backs on the rental market completely and find a place of their own – and fast!
Having just two months to find a new property and move in, the pressure was on, so they wasted no time in visiting a number of developers located in and around Telford.
Verona, a health and safety principle for Amey, said: “We particularly liked Linden Homes’ ‘1779’ development because of its close proximity to both Telford and Ironbridge and also because it was in the early stages of the build process.
“For us that meant that we could move in quickly and even better, we could select our home of choice – and all of these factors were enough to convince us that this was the best place for us to set up home.”
After seeing a number of homes around the development, they decided that a three-bedroom semi-detached property, with spacious living areas, a superb kitchen and luxurious en-suite master bedroom was perfect, and even better, it overlooked an area of natural woodland.
What was particularly impressive, however, was the speed at which Verona and Claire were able to move – having selected their home in July, by September they had moved in and unpacked their boxes!
Verona adds: “Having been in a few weeks already we have absolutely no regrets and we’re pleased to have become Linden’s first movers here!
“Our home has everything we could possible hope for and more, and during the home-buying process with Linden we were able to select certain fixtures and fittings which enabled us to personalise our home, which was the icing on the cake for us.”

The development’s latest show home has recently opened and has wow-factor interior décor combined with an attractive and practical internal layout – so much so that properties aren’t anticipated to be on the market for long.
