Award winning housebuilder Linden Homes recently supported local pantomime group, ExAct’s well-received performance of Alli-addin in Exminster.
The cast performed the pantomime by Abigail Callaghan to a full house of 150 at Exminster’s Victory Hall for each of the five shows and received fantastic reviews.
The good news continued when the lighting director, Garry Dodds, surprised the props co-ordinator, Kym Cornelius, by projecting the words ‘will you marry me’ onto the stage and going down on one knee in front of the entire audience, which erupted with cheers and applause when she agreed.
Nigel Walters from ExAct said: “We were so grateful for Linden Homes’ support, we’re a small company and so we really rely on good audience numbers and donations. We always try to make local references in our performances and we hand painted a Linden Homes for sale board on our scenery which lots of people commented on.”
Dana Schell, senior sales executive at Linden Homes’ Milbury Reach development in the village said: “The pantomime was amazing, it was so entertaining and everyone really enjoyed it. Some of the cast live at Milbury Reach so it was great to see them perform, although I was surprised when they asked me to join them on stage!”
Milbury Reach is an incredibly popular development and attracts high levels of visitors.
