Linden Homes Supports David Lunts In £250,000 Fundraising Campaign
20 Apr 2015

Award winning housebuilder Linden Homes has been thanked for the second year for supporting David Lunts who has cycled from London to Cannes as part of a £250,000 fundraising challenge in aid of Coram, the UK’s oldest children’s charity.

David , the Executive Director for housing and land at the Greater London Authority, took on the four-day, 900-mile endurance event in March alongside nearly 100 other riders. For the second year in a row, he was sponsored by Linden Homes.

Carrying a baton all the way, his group’s arrival in Cannes coincided with MIPIM. Last year the event raised a record £250,000 and this year the contributions from participants and sponsors like David Lunts and Linden Homes are expected to exceed that total.

David said: “I am very grateful for Linden Homes' very generous sponsorship of my cycle to Cannes this year; it was a pleasure to have their logo on my jersey. The 900 miles is a daunting task but it really helped to know I was representing such a wonderful array of partners!

“The Ride to MIPIM is something which has been very hard work, given me great personal satisfaction and, most importantly, has provided significant fundraising to an excellent cause in Coram.

“Coram does a fantastic job with vulnerable children, finding them suitable adopted homes and offering long term support to put their lives back on track. The total amount raised for the charity is set to eclipse the £250,000 figures from 2014.”

Linden Homes Group managing director Andrew Richards said: “Congratulations to David for undertaking a really tough challenge in aid of a charity that has done so much good work for so long. We were very proud to add our support again this year.”

The ride to MIPIM was the 10th to be organised by the Cycle To… charity which uses bicycling as a platform to raise money for good causes. Coram has been helping vulnerable children for 275 years and today it helps over a million children and young people annually.
