Linden Homes’ Eastern business has been bolstered by two new land opportunities in mid Suffolk, as it continues to deliver its land strategy to provide high-quality new homes in desirable locations. The two sites will see Linden Homes deliver a combined 343 new homes in Stowupland and Thurston.
In Stowupland, Linden Homes has acquired the site on Thorney Green Road, with outline planning permission for 143 homes. The site is currently agricultural land and is located to the east of Stowmarket.
The site was allocated for development in the Babergh and Mid Suffolk Local Plan, which was approved by both Council’s in June following public consultation. Over the coming weeks Linden Homes will be putting forward a Reserved Matters application to agree the detailed design, layout and landscaping for the proposed development.
In Thurston, the division has also received planning permission for their Reserved Matters application by Mid Suffolk District Council’s planning committee for the first phase of a 200-home development. The first phase is comprised of 87 new homes, of which 35% will be affordable. Linden Homes will look to bring forward a Reserved Matters application for the second phase of the site by the end of 2019, with a view to delivering another 113 much-needed homes.
