Linden Homes Helps Hessle Art Students To Build On Their Talents

CREATIVE youngsters from Hessle have been able to showcase their works of art to the business community, thanks to the support of leading local employer Linden Homes.

Students from the Hessle High School staged an exhibition of their work at the Country Park Hessle – with a showcase of talent ranging from art and photography to product design and textiles.

Around 100 pupils, studying for GCSE and Btec qualifications, brought their course work out of the classroom and into the public arena at the exhibition sponsored by Linden Homes.

Linden Homes sales manager Sarah Procter, who attended the event, said: “We are delighted to once again support this initiative which provides a wonderful showcase for the very talented arts and design students we have in Hessle.

“The work on display during the evening was of an incredibly high standard, and it was a real treat to be able to share in the success of these students which we hope will go on to bigger and better things.”

Sue Walker, technician from the art and design department at the school, said: “The exhibition, which has grown over the past five years, was a fantastic opportunity for the students to display their work in the areas of textiles, art, photography and product design.

“We are again very grateful to Linden Homes, who have a well-known and respected presence in Hessle, for their generous support – the student were really proud to show off just what they have worked so hard at producing.”
