Linden Homes Employee Volunteers His Skills At Plaistow Hill Infant And Nursery School
02 Dec 2014

Linden Homes’ customer service technician, Damian Steer recently volunteered two working days to help Plaistow Hill Infant and Nursery School in St Budeaux in Plymouth with some outside carpentry in a play area.

Damian spent the two days creating new sandpits, benches and fences for the pupils, helping the school to save valuable money.

Fiona Hazeel, headteacher at Plaistow Hill Infant and Nursery School said: “We are so grateful to Damian and Linden Homes for volunteering the time to help our school. The children love their new play area and the money saved will enable our school to spend more on the pupils, rather than paying for a carpenter.”

Speaking about his time at the school, Damian said: “I was more than happy to help out at Plaistow Hill School; all of the staff and pupils seemed incredibly grateful and loved seeing me working away.”

Linden Homes South West’s managing director Nigel Palmer said: “We were very pleased to be able to help Plaistow Hill School, we have a number of new home developments in the area and try to help the local community wherever possible.”

The company is creating some fantastic new homes in Plymouth, including Beechfield Grove, an exclusive development of 11 large four and five bedroom homes and Emerge, an exciting new regeneration development in Devonport.
