Linden Homes has been supporting the local community by helping Kempsey Colts Football Club's youngest team.
Founded in 2003, Kempsey Colts is one of the biggest football clubs in Worcestershire and provides over 160 boys and girls with the opportunity to play the sport in their local community. There are ten teams across a range of age groups, from the under 7s up to the under 18s and they train weekly at Plovers Rise Playing Field in the village.
Tony Windsor from the club said: “Kempsey Colts FC is very grateful to Linden Homes for sponsoring the under 7s team and providing them with their first new kit. The children were so excited to join the club and having their own professional-looking kit really helps them feel part of the team.
“The players were pleased to welcome Josh from Kempsey Mead to their training session and while they would gladly have him join the team, he may need to join a slightly older club and get some football boots!”
Sue Scholfield, sales and marketing director for Linden Homes, said: “Kempsey has a superb community spirit and we are delighted to support the under 7s football team.
“Wherever we build we do our best to work with the community. £1,173,560 section 106 contributions have been made to Worcestershire County Council towards education, recreation, police infrastructure, transport and highways. We have also held school site visits with Kempsey Primary School and created a local travel plan to promote sustainability.”
