Special incentives are being offered over the bank holiday weekend to househunters visiting the prestigious collection of new homes at Froyle Park in the Hampshire village of Upper Froyle.
The high quality development is an exclusive mix of the new and refurbished, ranging from stylish two and three-bedroom terraced and three-bedroom semi-detached homes, to executive four, five and six-bedroom detached homes.
The open weekend will prelude with a late opening on Thursday until 8pm, and then launch in earnest on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (May 23rd-25th, 11am-5pm).
Incentives on offer over that limited period will focus on a selection of properties across the current price range to ensure something for everyone.
There will be deals possible on two homes on offer, a trio of three-bedroom terraced houses, and a detached three-bedroom house in the Franklin style.
The homes are likely to attract intense interest thanks to their quality and location, with quick access to the A31 for heading north to London and south to the coast. Alton train station nearby has direct services to London Waterloo in just under an hour and 10 minutes.
Twelve properties have already been bought in the first phase, while inquiries at the sales centre are signalling growing anticipation for the release of the next selection of larger houses.
Melanie De-Mariveles, Linden Homes Guildford sales executive, explained: “Now the general election is out of the way there is a growing feeling of certainty among buyers, who are signalling greater confidence and a willingness to act fast.
“We have had a lot of downsizers – especially people moving down from big properties worth £4-£5 million and looking for something in the £2 million range, which are coming soon.
“Local people have the local knowledge to appreciate the quality of what’s being offered here. Mostly we’ve had interest from the GU9 or GU10 postcodes; from Farnham, for instance.
“As Froyle Park’s bigger homes come onto the market, I think we’ll also get interest growing in our part exchange scheme. Linden Homes acts as the guaranteed buyer to help people sell their old home without the hassle of property chains and estate agent’s fees.”
A select village-style development, Froyle Park features at its heart the sensitive refurbishment of Burnham House into homes. There will also be a local shop and a series of green open spaces, including a large meadow at the south of the site.
Froyle Park lies within the Froyle Conservation Area, so the homes’ characterful design carefully echoes Hampshire’s traditional rural architecture with emphasis on red brick and plain clay tiles.
“Customers are often settled families or couples aged in their 30s, 40s or 50s and older,” added Melanie. “We have a younger family and an older family as well as a couple moving in who wanted somewhere to settle and start a family.
“The feedback has been that they love the homes, the quality and the rural feel of the development. We have 41 individual designs out of 55 homes so there is lots of choice.”
Upper Froyle itself is a quintessentially English country village, steeped in history and surrounded by the rolling hills of the stunning Hampshire countryside. To the north lies Basingstoke and Reading, with their shopping and dining options; to the south is the glorious South Downs National Park.
