WITH a trend in buying off plan and a property survey suggesting that Northerners are happier about where they live – it seems it is not so Grim Up North!
The North Yorkshire town of Harrogate recently topped a Rightmove study into the UK’s happiest place to call home – ranking highly when it came to recreation, neighbourliness, how much time people choose to spend at home and how safe they feel in their community.
The Happy At Home survey of around 40,000 people found that Northerners are happier about where they live than Southerners, with nine out of 10 ‘unhappiest’ locations in Greater London.
The survey results make positive reading for Linden Homes – which has a number of established a new developments in East Riding and North Yorkshire.
This summer the company saw 75 per cent of properties at a new development in York being sold off plan just weeks after the site’s official launch.
More developments in and around North Yorkshire are due to come on stream in the coming months – including in Wakefield - with the most recent being Willeby Heights, located in the village of Thorpe Willoughby, near Selby.
Adding to its extensive portfolio of new homes, the house builder is urging buyers to beat the rush and reserve off plan.
A wonderful selection of 149 carefully designed three and four-bedroom homes – including a number of bungalows – will provide plenty of housing choice for everyone from first time buyers, growing families and those looking for a smaller, more manageable property.
